DuPage Children's Museum

The DuPage Children’s Museum requested EDE’s help to refresh their Math Connections exhibit. The updated exhibit features 25 new exhibits where children use shapes, scales and their imagination to discover mathematics in a fun and engaging way. A giant kaleidoscope is designed for crawling inside, where visitors can experience how it actually functions. Unique shapes were used in the kaleidoscope to create a sense of patterning, with a helix bent loom and wooden balls that can slide down the stainless steel rods to create an intricate pattern. The exhibit was manufactured using the safest materials possible to withstand heavy use from younger visitors, while also protecting them from injury with soft rounded corners, padded shapes, and objects sized appropriately for younger ages.
